We need to relearn how to relax our mind. How to reconnect with our inner selves. How to be silent.
Modern lifestyle is often stressfull in subtle ways.
Taking time for yourself, doing nothing, just relaxing, has become difficult for many people. When you have time for relaxation you chose activity to cover up for feelings of restlessness and other unpleasant feelings that arrive in your mind.
Who wants unpleasant feelings?
So in our search for nice, pleasant feelings we unknowingly stress ourselves into ongoing activities and endless input.
To take a silent and slow day with a structure made up by somebody else than yourself can be a good and necessary inspiration – in order for you to be able to give this priority in your life. One should not think that it is so difficult, but it is.
We are taken by the unconscious streams of our minds.
The Program 9.30 – 15.30
9.30 – 10.00: Guided Tune In – which means find yourself a silent spot, feel at home, stretch your body, focus on breathing. Sharing our expectations.
10.00 – 10.30: Silent sitting meditation or silent lying body relaxation, use your own system
10.30 – 11.30: Silent walking in garden or landscape. There will be a 15 minute instruction and guiding for those who want it.
11.30 – 12.30: Silent contemplation, write in your notebook, draw or paint in your scetch book.
12.30 – 13.30: Mindful eating, please bring your own lunch. Herbal teas and fresh tap water will be available all day. Rest and digest in silence.
13.30 – 14.00: Silent sitting meditation or silent lying body relaxation, use your own system.
14.00 – 14.45: Silent Free Space. Knit, go for a walk, sit and contemplate, draw, write a poem etc.
14.45 – 15.30: Tune Out – which is a guided and facilitated sharing round about your insights and outcomes of the day.
How – all the practical stuff
Take the ferry from Kragenæs at 8.30, you can bring your bike. We recommend car parking at Kragenæs Havn, it is also possible to bring your car. Arrive in Fejø at 8.45 and bike or walk to Fejø Retreat and The Healing Garden (Storemosevej 32). Sit down, take a stroll in the garden, have a cup of tea (or coffee) – all in silence.
Join the programme, 9.45 until 15.30.
Leave by foot or bike. The ferry will take you back to Lolland at 16.20, you will arrive in Kragenæs by 16.35.
Food: Please bring your own lunch box. Herbal teas and coffee as well as drinking water will be available for you all day. You are welcome to use our cups and plates.
Meditation gear: We have yoga mats, chairs and blankets. You are also welcome to bring your own gear.Please bring your own meditation cushion or stool.
