Creating momentum

Once you have decided to have a daily practise and you have actually got yourself going, the challenge is to create momentum. How continue? How go on and on?

Your motivation is essential. The big WHY? It is only you who is responsible for acts towards yourself. Your motivation can change over time. But you need to have it carved in stone why you decided to start your formal practise in the first place.

Another helpful issue is to now and again evaluate. During good and smooth times look at your practise, not during meditation, but at a time of day when you are not in formal practise. Look at the small but significant changes you practise brings you. Maybe evaluate once a month?

And then there is the inspiration you get from others, by being part of a group from time to time. Where you together with others can look into these issues of working actively with your consciousness. Not many people do this, yet. But they are out there. Find them and meet regularly.
